Market will open on a flat note today after a lacklustre session of yesterday.
Stocks in Asia saw a muted start to Thursday trading as investors parsed details of the U.S.-China phase one trade deal.
The benchmark S&P 500 finished short of an earlier all time intraday high after President Donald Trump presided over a signing ceremony with Chinese officials. The Nasdaq Composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average indexes also set fresh highs.
U.S. markets received an added boost earlier after White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow promoted more tax cuts.
The country's exports contracted for the fifth month in a row by 1.8 per cent in December 2019 to $27.36 billion, according to data released by the commerce ministry on January 15.
Imports too declined by 8.83 per cent $38.61 billion, bringing down the trade deficit to $11.25 billion during the month under review.The trade deficit during December 2018 was $14.49 billion.Tuesday, 14 January 2020
