Market will open with a gap-down because of viral effect of global panicking.

The global slide in equity markets showed no signs of easing Friday, with Hong Kong, Japan and Australia all losing more than 2 percent amid fears about the coronavirus. 

Global shares are on course for the worst week since the 2008 crisis, down more than 10 percent from this month’s peak. 

The S&P 500 tumbled 4.4 % to close at the lowest levels of the day. The decline of more than 10 percent since last Friday has the benchmark on pace for its worse week since the 2008 global financial crisis and helped push the index into what is known as a correction.

Stocks in Asia retreated along with U.S. equity futures after U.S. health authorities said they found the first case of coronavirus that does not have ties to a known outbreak.

U.S. stocks fell for a fifth day, the longest losing streak since August, while Treasury 10-year note yields dropped to another record low as investors weathered a barrage of reports on the widening coronavirus outbreak.

Market will open with a gap-down today after a spread of coronavirus outside China spooked global markets.

U.S. equity futures sank with Asian shares and gold surged after the number of coronavirus cases outside of China increased and concern grew that global economic growth could take a more sustained hit with shares in Seoul and Sydney trade lower. 

Tech companies were particularly hard hit, setting the Nasdaq 100 down almost 2%. The S&P 500 Index posted its first weekly decline since January.

U.S. futures and stocks in Asia fell after Apple Inc. said quarterly sales would miss forecasts, illustrating the blow to corporate earnings and economic growth from the deadly coronavirus.

Market will open on a positive note continuing loss patch up rally witnessed yesterday which had dented on the Budget day.

The rally in risk assets gathered pace Wednesday with stocks across Asia climbing with bond yields amid optimism the global economy can weather the impact of the coronavirus.

U.S. stocks rallied the most since August, while Treasuries plunged as investors speculated the global economy will withstand any impact from the still-spreading coronavirus after China’s market sell-off eased. On Wall Street, the Nasdaq hit a record high on Tuesday and the S&P 500 posted its biggest one-day gain in about six months, while the Dow Jones notched its biggest single-day rise in more than five months. The Dow Jones rose 1.44 per cent, the S&P 500 gained 1.50 per cent, and the Nasdaq Composite added 2.1 per cent.

Asian stocks opened mixed Tuesday after modest U.S. gains as investors weighed efforts to contain the coronavirus, while oil retained a sharp decline.

US indices advanced as China added stimulus in an effort to shore up its economy and American manufacturing data topped estimates.

Maruti :                                                  Company reported a 1.6% increase in sales at 1,54,123 units in January. Domestic sales increased by 1.7% at 1,44,499 units last month, as against 1,42,150 units in January 2018, it added.                                                                        Tata Motors :                                    Domestic sales fell 18 % to 45,242 units.    Commercial vehicles sales fell 16 % to 33,860 units.                                    Passenger vehicle sales fell 22 % to 13,894 units.

Hero MotoCorp                                        Two-Wheeler Sales fell 14 % to 501,622 units.

Eicher Motors                                              Motorcycle sales fell 13 % to 63,520 units. VECV sales fell 6.1 percent to 5,544 units.

SML Isuzu                                                Sales rose 11.5 % to 1,112 units. 

M&M                                                  Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) on Saturday reported a 4 % increase in tractor sales at 23,116 units in January. The company had sold 22,212 tractors in the same month last year.

Oil-linked stocks such as OMCs, paint, tyre and aviation may remain in focus as crude oil prices extended decline on Monday, dragged down by worries about lower demand in the world’s largest oil importer China following the coronavirus breakout.
