Market will continue to open with a positive note today, continuing yesterday upward journey shrugging off the report that India's gross domestic product (GDP) for COVID-hit 2020-21 contracted by 7.3 percent, even as GDP for the year's last quarter (January-March 2021) grew by 1.6 percent, official data released by the National Statistical Office showed on May 31.

Asian markets were mixed in Tuesday morning as investors await the release of a private survey on Chinese manufacturing activity in May. Japan's Nikkei 225 rose 0.11% in morning trade while the Topix index gained 0.17. South Korea's Kospi edged 0.62% higher.

Oil prices rose on Tuesday ahead of an OPEC+ meeting and on optimism that fuel demand will grow in the months ahead with the summer driving season starting in the United States, the world's top oil consumer.

Markets regulator Sebi on Monday asked listed companies to make disclosure about loans and guarantees provided by them to promoter or any other entity controlled by them on a half-yearly basis in the compliance report on corporate governance. Positive for the market.

Market will open on a flat note today in line with global cues. 

Asian shares edged higher on Monday, looking to extend their recent rally to a third week should U.S. jobs figures show the expected revival in hiring in May and keep the global recovery on track.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was a fraction firmer, having rallied 2.2% last week. Japan's Nikkei was flat, while Australia rose 0.2% to a fresh all-time peak.

US stocks climbed on Friday as investors brushed off a stronger-than-expected inflation reading, as both the Dow and S&P 500 indexes clinched their first weekly gain in the past three weeks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 64.81 points, or 0.19%, to 34,529.45, the S&P 500 gained 3.23 points, or 0.08%, at 4,204.11 and the Nasdaq Composite added 12.46 points, or 0.09%, at 13,748.74.

Market will open on a flat note today judging the turmoil in cryptos and Fed minutes after a volatile session US markets witnessed last night. 

Asian stocks were steady early Thursday as investors weighed Federal Reserve minutes that flagged the possibility of a debate on scaling back asset purchases. Treasury yields and the dollar held an advance.

The cryptocurrency market is reeling under pressure on May 19 amid uncertainties over inflation and China's crackdown on crypto trading. The widespread sell-off in the crypto market wiped out over $265 billion dollars in market capitalisation. At the time of writing this article, the value of the whole cryptocurrency market stood at around $1.86 trillion, down 12.47 percent from the previous day.

Japan's exports grew the most since 2010 in April, supported by a favourable comparison with the sharp plunge seen during the pandemic last year, while capital spending also rose, firming up expectations of a trade-led recovery.

U.S. stocks hit a one-month low on Tuesday as speculation that rising inflation pressure could prompt interest rate hikes sooner rather than later dragged on shares and hobbled the dollar, which hovered near a 2-1/2-month low.
