Morning brief 16 Mar. 2017

SGX Nifty was trading 73 points, or 0.79 per cent, up at 9182.50, indicating a strong start for NSE Nifty index. 

Asian peers Hang Seng and Shanghai were trading higher in morning trade after the US Federal Reserve hiked interest rates, as expected, but signalled no pick-up in the pace of tightening.
